When working on the pipes, the problem of spalling on the upper concrete shell occurred. In order to continue works as quickly as possible, the shell was repaired with Rapid Set CEMENT ALL repair mortar in an application thickness of 0 to 30 mm. The strength factor of the concrete pipe of C70/85 allowed working in thin layers without any problems. Already the following day, in the repaired area, a drill core was taken. Due to the very good bond strength, there was no spalling or breaking out in the edge area.

The exposure classes define and specify the requirements for earth-contacting components. Construction measures in a permanently moist environment require a high degree of carbonation protection to prevent corrosion of reinforcements.

The Rapid Set products excellently qualify for such measures due to their fast application and load-bearing capacity. They also perfectly comply with the requirements profile of the exposure classes.
