The water tower with a storage capacity of drinking water of approx. 3.000 m³, located on the outskirts of Budapest, after more than 30 years being in use, was up for renovation. The municipal utility Budapest seeked for a feasible solution, both durable and economic. The decision fell on the cementitious mineral coating system MICTROP of KORODUR. During the renovation period of around half a year, high-grade materials of the MICROTOP product line have been most successfully processed in this elevated reservoir.
