SECUNDUR Design Floor installed at Libeskind-Villa |

| | The studio Libeskind of the world-wide famous New York architect, Daniel Libeskind, has designed the new Rheinzink reception/office building in Datteln (north of Dortmund).
For the construction of Libeskind-Villa, systems and construction materials were selected under the aspect of the embodiment of sustainable building and environmental compatibility.
The realization of the building concept was with the cooperation of innovative German top-quality producers, among them the KORODUR-group. For decades already, the name KORODUR stands for cementitious industrial flooring solutions world-wide. On the basis of its traditional cementitious industrial floors, KORODUR followed the trend in building trade by developing cementitious design floors in versatile optical finish. For the prototype of the Libeskind-Villa future-oriented materials were selected to create individual designs. With the SECUNDUR design floor KORODUR meets these demands. SECUNDUR is a ready-to-use, cementitious screed for the production of decorative screeds in a layer thickness of 15 to maximum 70 mm, depending on the construction. SECUNDUR can be finished smoothed or polished giving the surface either a terrazzo-like or marble appearance.
In the basement of the new reception building of the Libeskind-Villa an area of approx. 170 m² was carried out with the design floor SECUNDUR - in light-grey colour, in a smooth finish, in a layer thickness of in middle 15mm.
