Libeskind-Villa with SECUNDUR design floor
The New York star architect Daniel Libeskind created the design house concept "Signature Series" with the aim to build world-wide one Libeskind-Villa per country. Thus, Libeskind creates a new dialogue between contemporary living and a new experience of space. In 2009 the prototype of the Libeskind-Villa was built in Datteln, Germany, - the new Rheinzink reception building.

This building convinces not only by its aesthetic exceptionality but in particular also by its eco-friendliness and its high energy-saving standards. All systems and construction materials used for the building were selceted under the aspect of highest standards to sustainability, environmental compatibility, design and uniqueness.

That is why the building concept was realized in cooperation with innovative German top-qualitiy producers - among them the KORODUR-group. For decades already, the name KORODUR stands for cementitious industrial flooring solutions world-wide. On the basis of its traditional cementitious industrial floors, KORODUR followed the trend in building trade by developing cementitious, mineral-based decorative floors.

For the prototype of the Libeskind-Villa future-oriented materials were selected to create individual designs. With the SECUNDUR design floor KORODUR meets these demands. SECUNDUR is a ready-to-use, cementitious screed for the production of decorative screeds in a layer thickness of 15 to maximum 70 mm, depending on the construction.

A SECUNDUR design floor can be finished smoothed or polished, giving the surface either a terrazzo-like or marble appearance. Finally every SECUNDUR design floor is unique. In the Libeskind-Villa's ground floor an area of approx. 170 sq. m. was carried out with the design floor SECUNDUR HF - in light-grey colour, in smooth finish, in a layer thickness of in middle 15 mm ... a perfect combination to all other top-quality products ... a perfect marriage between discreet elegance and resistance.
