The Berlin Olympic stadium, a first-class address for multifunctional sport arenas in Germany, was refurbished under the aspect of monument preservation issues. Demanded was a splits between the requirements of a modern sports arena and big money involving show productions and on the other side the requirements of architectural conservation under this issue of preserving the monumental character.

To adapt several flooring areas of the Olympic stadium constructed still in the 20^th century the responsible parties decided for the interior refurbishment for a surface of approx. 3,000 m² to install the ageless beautiful GRANIDUR design floor in anthracite colour tone.
