With the contract award for the repair of the "drinking water reservoir Haidberg" near Nürnberg KORODUR's repair system MICROTOP® finally has established in the branch. With the project Haidberg it is question of the total renovation of an earth-covered drinking water reservoir with a storage capacity of approx. 75,000 m³. MICROTOP® definitely convinced the plant operators offering a comprehensive intergral solution with excellent test results, which had perfectly proven before at ohter projects.

With MICROTOP^® KORODUR offers a system on pure mineral basis for all coating works in a drinking water reservoir.

 

For the project Haidberg the following MICROTOP® products were used: MICROTOP® TW 3 and TW 5 for levelling and top coat of all walls and columns. MICROTOP® TW 8, used for re-profiling of the ceilings, was left spray rough to allow a faster dripping off of the condensate. MICROTOP® TW BM was used for the coating of the inlet channels, which are exposed to highest stress. MICROTOP® TW 02 serves as bonding compound for the floor covering which is produced with MICROTOP® TW 8. MICROTOP® TW mineral is finally applied as surface consolidation.

The ambitious aim of the ordering party was to put the drinking water reservoir back to operation in August 2005 after only one year of renovation time. This could be realized by using material from silo and most sophisticated application techniques.
